Ryan Carney, a native of St. Charles, is locally recognized as a cellist and bassist who performs with a wide variety of artists. He is a private music educator with nearly 40 years of experience studying and performing diverse styles of music. Carney is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Music Performance and also of Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University with a Master of Music, focused on classical string bass. The RYAN CARNEY AND FRIENDS HOLIDAY SPECIAL will feature several musicians that Ryan partners most often with to host a variety showcase. Shannon Adams will accompany Ryan for an elegant repertoire including baroque and classical cello sonatas as well as beautiful arrangements of some of our holiday favorites. Local singer-songwriter Noah Gabriel will also team up with Carney for an improvisational pairing that will surprise you with unpredictable sounds you never thought could be produced by a cello!
