Harry Hmura started playing guitar at age 7, then met B.B. King when he was 11 years old; “B.B. was the one that lit the fire in me.”
From his humble beginnings in Chicago, Harry stoked that ‘fire’, which ultimately led to sharing the stage with blues and rock legends the likes of Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, Dickey Betts, Elvin Bishop, Jeff Healey, and Buddy Miles.
Harry also has recorded and toured nationally and internationally with Grammy Award Winning blues legends, James Cotton and Sugar Blue.
Harry has performed on notable world festival stages: Chicago Blues Fest, the renowned Montreal, Montreux, North Sea, Madrid, Paris and Middleheim Jazz festivals
Harry Hmura‘s distinctive, experienced and creative guitar styles are world class. From his humble beginnings in Chicago to sharing the stage with blues and rock legends. He offers listeners and fans a journey of rhythms, groove, feeling, improv and space, playing his own original soulful Blues, R&R Classics and Jazz, fusing them tastefully.
