Auditions for: Alive And Kickin
A World Premier Musical Revue By Stephan DeGhelder
Moonlight Theatre in St. Charles, IL is seeking musical theatre performers for the World Premiere of ALIVE AND KICKING, an original musical and sketch comedy revue by Broadway veteran, Stephan DeGhelder.
ALIVE AND KICKING is a revue celebrating the challenges of growing older and all the joys and hilarity seniors experience in today’s world including technology, relatives, doctors, pills, retirement, dating and seniors versus youth, all in song and comedy sketches and dance. (Think CAROL BURNETT SHOW and FORBIDDEN BROADWAY). The show directed by the writer/lyricist, and Broadway veteran Stephan DeGhelder. Stephan is an award-winning writer of the satirical topical revues, LICENSE TO BASH, and PRIME RIBBING. The production will be Mr. DeGhelder’s return to the Chicago area since his musical A KISS FROM ALEXANDER had an extended run at the Bailiwick Theatre and was nominated for four Jefferson Citations, including “Best New Musical”. As a performer, Chicago audiences saw him in the National company of THE BOYFRIEND at the Studebaker, the Chicago Company of HAIR at the Blackstone, and THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE at the Goodman Theatre.
ALIVE AND KICKING is an ensemble piece where everyone will shine. It is scheduled to open June 19 at the beautiful Moonlight Theatre, named “One of the best live theatres in Kane County.”
