Rock With Horns! Those three simple words drove the passion for a merger of uniquely talented individuals from several local area bands. It was 1967 and from that merger arose a unique sound that blended rock & roll with rhythm & blues, soul, funk and jazz. They released their self-titled debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, in April of 1969 and the rest is
history. Literal history as they continue to be one of the all-time top selling American bands in terms of record and concert ticket sales.  The Moonlight Theatre is excited to bring you the next best thing, The Chicago Experience! Nine top shelf musicians, all living in and around Chicago, who have dedicated themselves to capturing all the horns, guitars, vocals, creativity and excitement of the original band without the help of prerecorded backing tracks. The Chicago Experience will do two sets tonight that include Chicago’s top hits and some of our favorite deep album cuts. So, as the great Terry Kath wrote for the original band’s introduction, “Sit back and let us through and let us play for you!”
