The Standards Revisited Quartet takes the great classics and plays them in a new way with a new sound. Featuring Fred Cantu on vocals and trumpet this band pays tribute to the greats such as Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Tony Bennet, Nat King Cole etc. Fred Cantu one of the busiest and most exciting musicians on the music scene today and can be seen every week on WGN’s tv show Singsation. He has performed jazz festivals around the world and has performed with Wayne Newton, Selena, and Chuchito Valdes. Pianist Paul Johnson arranges these classic songs in a whole new light and is currently working on his next cd. Members of this band have performed with Louie Bellson, Paquito D’Rivera and the Buddy Rich BigBand.
